Eduard Buzatu Istrate aboard during a passage

International yacht delivery · Worldwide by assignment

International yacht delivery, prepared from start to handover.

For owners, buyers and marine businesses that need a vessel moved between ports worldwide, with a reviewed route, clear operating conditions and agreed communication throughout the assignment.

What a yacht delivery assignment can include.

A delivery does not begin when the engines start. It begins with an understanding of the vessel, route, available window and each party's responsibilities. That is why every assignment is reviewed and quoted individually.

Initial review

Vessel details, use, flag, known condition, documents, insurance and required scope.

Passage planning

Route, weather, alternative ports, estimated duration, fuel and logistical requirements.

Operational preparation

Pre-departure acceptance, safety equipment, briefing, required crew and departure conditions.

Passage and handover

Agreed updates during the assignment, arrival, vessel handover and closure of any recorded issues.

The proposal states what is included and what remains the owner's responsibility: fees, crew, travel, return journey, fuel, berthing, accommodation, repairs and other vessel expenses.

Who this service is for.

Owners and buyers

When a yacht needs to move to a different port, reach its new base, travel for maintenance or be delivered after a purchase. The owner should understand the plan, conditions and update arrangements before confirmation.

Brokers, dealers and shipyards

For stock movements, post-sale deliveries, arrival at or departure from a yard and short-term operational support. Captain Eduard can join for a specific assignment and coordinate scope with the commercial, technical or operations lead.

What is checked before acceptance.

  • Vessel: type, length, propulsion, relevant systems and known condition.
  • Operation: private or commercial use, flag, documentation and applicable qualification scope.
  • Cover: vessel insurance and acceptance of the captain, operating area and assignment.
  • Passage: distance, weather, alternatives, daylight, ports and fuel.
  • People: crew, watches, rest, travel and return arrangements.

If the assignment is not safe, legally suitable or operationally viable, it is not confirmed on those terms. Urgency does not change that standard.

Worldwide assignments. Mobilisation wherever the vessel is.

Captain Eduard can travel to the vessel and reviews yacht delivery assignments worldwide according to the route, dates, logistics, documents, insurance and scope. Alicante is his home base, not the service-area limit.

Worldwide mobilisation

Captain Eduard can join the vessel at the agreed departure port, subject to travel logistics and assignment feasibility.

Mediterranean and Europe

Port-to-port deliveries and operational assignments across European and Mediterranean cruising areas.

Atlantic and Caribbean

International routes reviewed around distance, weather, vessel capability, crew and safe operating conditions.

Other international routes

Any departure and destination can be assessed according to flag, documents, insurance, logistics and scope.

Yacht delivery questions.

What does a yacht delivery include?

Scope is defined for each assignment and may include an initial review, passage and weather planning, pre-departure acceptance, operational coordination, updates during the delivery and final vessel handover. The proposal records the agreed scope.

How much does yacht delivery cost?

Each assignment is quoted after reviewing route, duration, vessel, responsibilities, crew, travel and expenses. The proposal defines inclusions, exclusions and conditions before booking.

Can a yacht be delivered by one captain?

It depends on duration, night navigation, vessel, weather, flag, insurance and rest requirements. Additional crew is proposed whenever safety or operating conditions require it.

What happens if the weather changes?

Departure remains subject to a suitable weather window. If conditions change, the route, timing, alternatives or rescheduling are reviewed; safety takes priority over the calendar.

Can I request a quote without sending documents?

Yes. Basic details are enough for the initial review. Required documents are requested through an appropriate channel if the assignment progresses; sensitive information should not be attached to the first message.
